If you happen to be a David Bowie fan, then you have no reason to skip out on this highly anticipated, one-off event! Pay homage to the iconic legend with the BBC Radio 2 special Friday Night is Music Night Celebrates David Bowie, which is on at the London Coliseum this December!
This performance will feature the foremost David Bowie interpreter and Broadway star Tony Vincent, together with the BBC Concert Orchestra and a full rock band. Come and reminisce all of your favourite David Bowie hits that have captivated the public decade after decade. You'll find such Bowie classics as his alter-ego manifesto, Ziggy Stardust, along with Rebel Rebel, Space Oddity, Life On Mars, Let’s Dance, Golden Years, Changes, and even Heroes, which notably played in The Perks of Being a Wallflower when Emma Watson's character stood up in the back of a pickup truck, capturing the hearts of a whole new generation of David Bowie fans. This concert will be recorded and broadcast on BBC Radio 2 in 2019, fifty years after Space Oddity was first released.
David Bowie raised the bar in the music industry and is widely renowned for creating thematic concept albums that continue to inspire popular music artists to this day, the likes of which include Marilyn Manson, Lady Gaga, and more. Inhabiting his own unique world of stupendous sounds and synesthesia, Bowie was truly ahead of his time!
