New production photos have been released of comedian and presenter Tom Allen in the Olivier Award-winning musical comedy Titanique, playing at the Criterion Theatre in London.
Allen has joined the cast in the role of Ruth and will perform until Sunday 12 April 2026. The new images, photographed by Mark Senior, offer a first look at his turn in the gloriously camp parody of the blockbuster film Titanic, set to the iconic hits of Celine Dion.

“I saw this show when it first opened and I loved it so much I had to see it again almost immediately. The laughs and camp spoofing are addictive and exactly what the world needs right now. I am beyond honoured to be joining this extremely talented cast and can't wait to come aboard for my life boat drill! ...wait, they do have enough lifeboats right?”

Titanique refuses to sink. Just like Céline Dion’s heart, it will go on (and on). The Olivier Award-winning comedy-musical has announced a new cast member joining its West End voyage and an extension at London’s Criterion Theatre, proving that, much like Rose on that door, there’s still room for more.
Blending Dion’s chart-topping ballads with the sweeping melodrama of James Cameron’s Titanic, the show has been praised as “a riotous voyage.” Co-created by Tye Blue, Marla Mindelle, and Constantine Rousouli, it reimagines the Ship of Dreams with a raft of Céline classics, from “All By Myself” to the inevitable “My Heart Will Go On.”

The West End has been hit by an iceberg of laughter as Titanique The Musical docks in London. This outrageous parody of James Cameron’s epic film Titanic has sailed from cult favorite to theatrical sensation, packing the stage with pop ballads, campy chaos, and Céline Dion as the ultimate narrator. But did this madcap musical make waves with the critics—or did it sink under the weight of its own absurdity?

Written by an Olivier award-winning team, Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli, and Tye Blue, Titanique is a splash hit musical parody that has been taking the theatre world by (sea)storm. The eleven-time Oscar-winning film Titanic is retold by Canadian songstress Céline Dion. The story takes audiences on an outrageously funny journey (with only a few minor collisions), but who will be making the expedition across the North Atlantic ocean on the unsinkable ship?
Taking the lead of deck-loving diva and Canadian superstar Céline Dion is Astrid Harris. Harris reprises the role, having played Dion in the Paris production. She’s no stranger to cruises either, having starred as the Lead Vocalist for Silversea Cruises. On shore, she has performed in Roles We’ll Never Play (Union Theatre) and Spooktacular Spectacular (The Other Palace). Her solo show, Decades of Divas has been seen by thousands of people in over 30 countries.
Richard Carson takes on the role of the arrogant antagonist, Cal. A leading man on the London West End, his past credits include Sky in MAMMA MIA! (Novello Theatre), Cover Javert in Les Misérables (Sondheim Theatre) and Maxim de Winter in the UK premiere of Rebecca (Charing Cross Theatre).
Playing the lovesick lead (with the swoon-worthy hair) is Luke Bayer. His theatre credits include Alternate Jamie in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Original West End Cast – Apollo Theatre), Mark in RENT (Hope Mill Theatre) and Nick Carraway in Gatsby (Southwark Playhouse). Bayer also performed in the Les Misérables 20th Anniversary performance (Sondheim Theatre).
Hiba Elchikhe plays fellow lovesick lead (and owner of the infamous heart of the ocean, which can be seen dangling from the theatre’s ceiling), Rose. Elchikhe starred opposite her future Jack in Millenials (The Other Palace) and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (it’s like it was written in the stars). She also starred in the world premiere production of Here and Now The Steps Musical (The Alexandra, Birmingham) and The Time Traveler’s Wife (Apollo Theatre).
Taking on the role of The Iceberg (yes, it’s a role in the show and an iconique one at that) is Tosh Wanogho-Maud. A staple in the West End, Wanogho-Maud’s previous credits include Young Simba in The Lion King (Lyceum Theatre), Mutumbo in The Book of Mormon (Prince of Wales Theatre) and Jimmy “Thunder” Early in Dreamgirls (Savoy Theatre).

The film is over 25 years old now, so Leo has obviously lost interest—but thankfully, Céline Dion has not!
The show kicks off at a Titanic Museum, whereby a mystery-witch figure interrupts the tour to dramatically whip off her bin-bag hood to reveal herself as none other than Céline Dion, claiming to have survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic over 100 years ago. (I will personally be writing a complaint to Titanic Belfast because the attraction was severely lacking in the Céline department when I went last summer!)

The Titanique is looking shipshape, as West End favourites join original crew members to bring the multi award-winning musical to London’s West End!
Having started its voyage over two years ago, the off-broadway (iceburg) hit will finally be dropping anchor at The Criterion Theatre from 9 December. Seriously.
Completing the company are Freddie King (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes), Adrianne Langley (Sixties Girls), Madison Swan (The Book of Mormon), Rodney Vubya (The Book of Mormon) and Kristina Walz (Titanique).

All aboard! The off-broadway phenomenon, Titanique, will be setting sail later this year, and it is set to dock in Theatreland!
The madcap musical premiered in Los Angeles back in 2017, before charting course for an off-Broadway run at The Asylum Theatre in 2022, where it then made its final stop at the Daryl Roth Theatre. The production won the 2023 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Musical and for lead performer (Marla Mindelle) and costume design (Alejo Vietti). In addition to the Lucille Lortel wins, the production also picked up an Off Broadway Alliance Award and an Obie Award, and was nominated for Drama League, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Choice awards. They really have a boatload of accolades!
